Teampall na Cluanach:Church of the meadow
The N stone stands 1.52m high but has broken across the top. Its E face is inscribed with a Latin cross with expanded terminals. The W face is inscribed with a series of 4 crosses, one above the other. The uppermost cross has expanded terminals to its side arms but its head is now missing.
Pendant from the end of its shaft is a circle, within which is an equal-armed cross with bar terminals. Below this is a Latin cross with a bar terminal to its head, expanded terminals to the arms and a scrolled terminal at base. The lowermost cross has expanded terminals to head and arms but its stem is now partly buried beneath the ground surface.
The above description is derived from J. Cuppage, ‘Corca Dhuibhne. Dingle Peninsula archaeological survey. Ballyferriter. Oidhreacht Chorca Dhuibhne’ (1986), no. 866.
